New Year, New Attitude

It seems a bit silly that a particular day on the calendar can cause us to turn over new leaves, as it were, but New Year's Day is coming up and everyone is making their resolutions. I am no different. AJ and I are going to a local fitness center this evening to join up for the year. The truth for me is that I have to start moving or lose the ability to do so all together. The fitness club has aqua zumba, water aerobics classes, classes based upon yoga and pilates, and more machines than I will know what to do with. I'm retired! Right? I'm supposed to have time for this sort of thing, and the bottom line is, I have time for those things that are a priority. Exercise and weight loss will be the priority for 2012

I also intend to finish projects, knit and quilt projects that are in progress but not finished. UFOs we crafters call them. I have a list a mile long, and must finish them, as soon as my hands heal.

Of course, hammered dulcimer and recorder practice is also on the list.

Forgot to mention that I have ordered a Erlbacher Gearhart Sock Knitting Machine, which means I will be able to turn out socks by the 100s, as soon as I figure out how to do it. I am excited about this, It should save my hands a little wear and tare.
